A Civil War Ball is planned on Friday, July 14, 7 PM to 9:30 PM, in the restored German Bank Barn at Allison Antrim Museum as part of the activities leading up to 1864 The Burning.  The 2017 Civil War Ball features the Victorian Dance Ensemble. Before each dance, the Victorian Dance Ensemble provides demonstration and instruction.

Participants may dress in Civil War era attire, contemporary formal attire, or contemporary business attire. The ball is open to children twelve and older and adults.  Ball tickets are $15 for adults or $25 per couple.

Begin the 1864 Weekend with the Civil War Ball. Experience Victorian era dance and social interactions of the era. It is a relaxing evening and suitable for both experienced and beginning dancers.

The Victorian Dance Ensemble was recognized in 2016 with the President’s Volunteer Gold Service Award. The group supports historic preservation and education projects while promoting visitation  to historic sites.
