WAYNESBORO: Waynesboro's 1st Annaul "Harry Potter Festival"

FRIDAY, AUGUST 18th
6:30–8 PM: Sorcerer’s Paint Party – Age 21 & up.
7:30 PM: MAGIC WIZARD’S PARTY – Christine’s Café. Entry fee includes giveaways, butter beer, treats and a movie ticket to “Fantastic Beasts.” Live music on the patio! Plus~a costume contest (ages 16 and up). Prizes!
9 3/4 PM: “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” the most recent film in the Harry Potter universe, at the enchanting Waynesboro Theatre.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 19th
9 AM, 11 AM & 1 PM: Kidditch Lessons at the Main Street Park. Free. Ages 4–13.
10 AM: Care of Magical Creatures class time with the Antietam Humane Society and Professor Heidi at Martha’s Garden behind the downtown library.
10:30 AM–NOON: Sorcerer’s Paint Party. All ages welcome.
11 AM & 1:30 PM: Magical High Tea at TranquilaTEA Tea Room. Reservations are required. To reserve, call TranquilaTEA Tea Room and Gift Shop at 717-765-8327.
Noon–4 PM: Wand Workshop at Music Makers, 46 W. Main Street. Pick out or create your own wand!
1–2:30 PM: Sorcerer’s Paint Party. All ages welcome.
3–4 PM: Costume Contest: Main Street Park (ages 14 and younger). Win prizes!
3:30–5 PM: Sorcerer’s Paint Party. All ages welcome.
4–6 PM: Nearly Headless Nick’s 524th Deathday Party at the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library.
7 PM: Magic Show on the BB&T stage in the Main Street Park.
8 PM: Outdoor showing of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” at Main Street Park. Free.
• Hogwarts Scavenger Hunt: Follow the clues throughout downtown Waynesboro to pick up the things you need to start Year 1. Get your school list at Brio Coffeehouse or Mainstreet Waynesboro starting August 16!
• See Harry Potter-themed artwork in our downtown galleries. Hours TBA.
• Character story times at the library.
