CHAMBERSBURG: 40th Annual Chambersburg Half Marathon

The Chambersburg Half Marathon has drawn a diverse group of people each year. During the first year Jean Stapleton (Edith on “All in the Family”) was a spectator cheering on the runners. Many Olympic hopefuls have participated in the race. Steve Spence, who ran for the United States at the Olympic Games in Barcelona (1992) holds the men’s record for the course. His time of 1:08:12 was established in 2001. The female record of 1:21:01 was set by Molly Pritz in 2008.
>Prize money for top three overall male and female ($300-$200-$100).
>Prize money for top three Masters (40+) male and female ($100-$75-$50).
>Masters may double dip in the money prizes.
>Top three male and female finishers in each age group will receive awards.
>Anyone winning a monetary prize will not receive an age group award.
>$100 for a Course Record.
>All finishers will receive a finishers medal
>Course closes at 11:30 am – you must maintain a 13:44 minute per mile pace
>Showers will be available in the school
>Post race pizza and refreshments
>No bib transfers or deferments>No refunds due to weather cancellations or any other reasons
>Long sleeve gender specific technical shirts available for $15

The Course Start/Finish at Chambersburg Area Middle School. Course is challenging, rolling hills over rural roads. Course support and water stations provided.
