April is Spring into History Month; and to celebrate, Franklin County Visitors Bureau is hosting Beauty of Barns Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, April 29, in the Great Room of the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center. The event will begin at 11:30 AM and run until 1 PM.

The Beauty of Barns will explore the iconic Pennsylvania Bank Barn in Franklin County and its contribution to the county’s heritage and cultural identity. The Lunch & Learn will conclude with Barn Bingo. The bingo winner will receive the classic poster “Brick End Barns of Franklin County,” first printed in 2004 and using the photos of Phil Schaff, a pictorial historian of these agricultural treasures.

Attendees will enjoy a complimentary lunch of strawberry spinach salad, a variety of wraps, humus and pita, and a sugar cookie for dessert. Each attendee will receive the 2025 Spring Into History publication, which explores 300 years of American history in Franklin County.

Participants are welcome to bring photos and stories of their favorite barns to share with others in a brief show and tell session to open the event. Reserve a seat by registering here on Eventbrite or contact the Franklin County Visitors Bureau at 717.552.2977.
