Exhibit | Fashion Archives & Museum\, Shippensburg University\n\nBeginning Wednesday April 9th\, 2025 * 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM through Thursday November 20th\, 2025\nThe Fashion Archives & Museum of Shippensburg University\, in collaboration with the Central Penn Doll Collectors Club\, will open its latest exhibit\, All Dolled Up!\, on Wednesday\, April 9.\nThe exhibit will be open from 4 to 7 p.m.\, with free admission for all guests.\nThe exhibit showcases a wide variety of dolls from the 19th and 20th centuries\, exploring the cultural significance of dolls and their influence on childhood during these periods.\nVisitors can view displays of precious porcelain dolls\, Barbie dolls and their precursors\, and other historical dolls alongside period clothing that reflects how toys and fashion have evolved throughout time.\nThe display is divided into three themes: “Little Mothers Bringing Up Baby\,” “My Best Friend\,” and “Exploring Adult Roles and Fashions.”\nThe Fashion Archives & Museum is open Monday to Thursday from 12 to 4 p.m. Beginning April 12\, the museum will also be open on Saturdays from 12 to 4 p.m.\nOn the same date\, updated admission fees will take effect: $5 for adults and $4 for seniors.\nThe All Dolled Up! exhibit will be on display through November 20\, 2025.\nFor more information\, please contact fasharch@ship.edu or call (717) 477-1239.

The featured works cover a mix of media—oil\, acrylic\, pastel\, watercolor\, and photography—which all spotlight these colorful and lively seasons in unique ways.\nThe gallery will also have new fine art and crafts by local artists available on the shelves: pottery\, wood carvings\, jewelry\, stained glass art\, and more.\nFollowing the reception\, the exhibit will be on display through August 2nd\, 2025.\nGallery 50 is open Fridays from 5:00 PM –8:00 PM and Saturdays from 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM.\nThe exhibit will soon be available to browse and purchase on the gallery’s online shop at www.gallery50-aagw.square.site\nGallery 50 is also hosting a Spring Raffle\, with an artwork prize donated by artist Sandra Schuster.\nEntitled “Sky in Summer\,” the work is an original acrylic painting\, measuring 24 by 30 inches.\nAll proceeds support Gallery 50 and the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro.\nRaffle tickets can be purchased online or in-person at the gallery through Saturday\, June 28th when the drawing takes place.\nGallery 50 is owned and operated by the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro and spotlights fine art and high-quality crafts from local artists and artisans.
