In all, twenty-three acts passed on from the open mic portion of A Cappella & Unplugged to Round 1 at the Capitol Theatre.
Participants are vying for a top prize of $500 and a chance to perform in front of thousands at 1864 Ransoming, Burning & Rebirth of Chambersburg on July 16th.
At the June 4th A Cappella & Unplugged Round 1, a panel of judges will select the top six performers to move onto the Finals.
The audience at Round 1 will select the People’s Choice and receives $100.
From the six acts that perform on Saturday, July 16, 7 PM, the audience will select the winner of $500.
A Cappella & Unplugged 2022 is the eighth musical competition.
The event began to add a musical celebration to 1864–the annual event that remembers the historic burning of Chambersburg and the amazing rebirth of the community from the ashes of war.
