Fun Day at the Stewart House, Shippensburg, PA

Saturday September 17th, 2022 * 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Join us as our organization is turning 77 years old.
For our birthday, we’ll be having tours of the Dr. Alexander Stewart house located at 52 West King Street in historic downtown Shippensburg.
While you’re here, check at our exhibits.
Visit our living history area where we’ll be demonstrating in our summer kitchen at the Ole Crow’s Nest.
Learn about the origins of some of our favorite food that we enjoy today, as we use the techniques of the 18th and 19th century.
We’ll have our blacksmith shop open for visitation too!
Or maybe you’ll want to participate in a family game in our backyard.
Learn about some of the games that were played for the last three centuries from 1700s tavern games to 1800s cricket, and 1900s croquet.
This day is filled with lots of fun and something for everyone!
This event is free, but donations are strongly encouraged.
Also, learn about how to become a member of the Shippensburg Historical Society and how your membership supports us.
