Storywalk Sundays, The Institute

Sunday January 9th, 2022 * 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Area families are invited to attend The Institute’s StoryWalk® Sundays adventure for kids at Pine Hill Recreation Area.
Kids will enjoy a guided walk along the story trail as they read the book, then make a special craft project to take home—and warm up with a campfire and yummy s’mores!
January’s storybook is “The Mitten” by Jan Brett.
“Based on a Ukrainian folk tradition, the story is a whimsical tale of winter woodland animals climbing into a mitten lost in the snow—each animal larger than the last.
Children love the story as the succession of animals leads up to a big brown bear,” said Pam Rowland, The Institute’s education director.
The event is FREE, but pre-registration is required by Jan. 6. To register, email to: info@natureandcultureinstitute.org
or call 717-762-0373. Limited to 20 children.
Children in grades K–5 may be dropped off and picked up at 3 p.m. All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.
