Join the Franklin County Visitors Bureau and 11/30 Center for Festival of Trees. The event opens at 4 PM on Saturday, November 20, just before the annual Christmas parade in Chambersburg. John Shindledecker will be reading Twas the Night Before Christmas and the Christmas Carol. Leading up to the parade, Evan Crider and John Shindledecker will perfrom Christmas music, accompanied by guitar.

Children can join the wreath coloring contest. First prize will receive a $50 cash prize and three honorable mentions will receive $20 cash prize. The wreaths will be displayed throughout the 11/30 Visitors Center and prizes will be announced on December 3 at 7 PM, Candle Night in downtown Chambersburg.

Young and old are invited to write a letter to Santa leading up to Christmas. Pick up the letters in the lobby of the 11/30 Visitors Center, or ask one of Santa’s helpers at the visitors center to write the letter as you dictate it.

Christmas Trivia Game on December 3 at 6 PM at the 11/30 Visitors Center on the square in Chabmersburg. Test your holiday knowledge! Winner receives $100. Register in advance by emailing 11/30 Visitors Center here. Or, register day of the contest.

Admission to Festival of Trees is free. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Exhibit is not open on Friday, November 26. Weekend hours are:

  • Sunday, November 21 – 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
  • Small Business Saturday, November 27 – 9 AM -3 PM
  • Sunday, November 28 – 11:30 Am -1:30 PM
