NEW in 2022:

Franklin County Visitors Bureau is joining Homeless Matters and Grocery Outlet to celebrate Sharing the Heart of the Holidays during the twelve days of Festival of Trees. Sharing the Heart of the Holiday is a way to support Franklin County residents that need a little help this holiday season. On each of the twelve days of Sharing the Heart of the Holidays, Franklin County Visitors Bureau is offering fun activities related to each day’s theme—something for children and adults. The twelve days of giving and fun activities are:

November 19 – Coats for Kids

Snuggly and warm as a polar bear, a winter coat is a good friend. So, we will be making polar bear ornaments today!

November 20 – Books of All Kinds

Take a look…it’s in a book. Today’s special craft is making a book ornament with a holiday message.

November 21 – Grocery Gift Cards

Cookies are a fun treat from the grocery story. Help us make a Gingerbread Man chain for our tree! Add a Gingerbread man and take one home for your tree.

November 22 – Mittens/Gloves, Scarves, Hats

Cozy mittens, scarves and hats keep away winter’s chill. Today is for mitten-making-and-decorating.

November 23 – Laundry & Hygiene Items

The world around us glistens during the holiday season. It is fresh and bright. It is a perfect time to make a shiny ornament, decorated with glitter.

(Collections pause on November 24 and 25.)

November 26 – Gas Gift Cards

Everybody is on the go—scurrying here and there. So, we are making a busy bird—a red cardinal.

November 27 – Coats for Entire Family ALL Sizes

Button up! It is getting cold. This is the perfect day to make a button ornament!

November 28 – Games & Snacks for Family Fun Night

Holiday time is the best for special treats. Got to make candy canes! Help us make a candy cane chain; add a cane, and create your own candy take-home ornament.

November 29 – Art & School Supplies

Art is everywhere! Today, we are making recycled Christmas Trees.

November 30 – Baby Clothes, Formula & Baby Items

Babies are the ultimate gift. We are celebrating by making bells.

December 1  – Blankets & Linens

Covers everywhere! Since we all hope for snow to cover the Earth during Christmas, we are making snowmen snowflakes.

December 2   – Toys

Enjoy yourself! Create a one-of-a-kind ornament—Santa, snowman, tree, penguin, and many more.
