Wee Wonders Nature Series for Preschoolers Fall 2023, The Institute

This autumn, we have five new sessions, with each one a full 90 minutes of educational FUN | Registration for the FULL SERIES is required.
Taught by Institute educators, age-appropriate program activities make learning fun, and include exploring the outdoors, hikes, theme-related and nature stories, crafts, rhymes, songs, finger plays, nature games, and puppets.
Children must be accompanied by a parent.
For kids ages 2.5 years through 5.

StoryWalk Sundays-October 2022, The Institute

Our series of StoryWalk® Sunday adventures for kids continues in October.
The story posted on the StoryWalk® trail at Pine Hill Park changes monthly, and a special story event accompanies each one on the second Sunday of each month.
This month’s StoryWalk® Sunday is the perfect way to welcome the many splendors of fall.
Kids will join a guided walk along the story trail as they read the book, then make a special craft project to take home.
The featured storybook for October is The Pumpkin Fair, by Eve Bunting with illustrations by Eileen Christelow.
With bouncy rhymes and delightful watercolor-and-ink illustrations, this story explores a lively and colorful pumpkin fair, where pumpkins of every size are on display. 
There are all kinds of pumpkin-inspired foods—and even a marching band in pumpkin suits!
The event is FREE, but pre-registration is required by October 6.

All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.

The Institute Presents All New Fall EXPLORE! Programs for Kids
EXPLORE! programs are a series of outdoor adventure programs.
The Institute is offering a series of four outdoor adventure programs this fall. 
Designed for kids in grades K to 5, the EXPLORE! programs will run on four consecutive Thursdays, October 6, 13, 20 & 27, after school from 4 to 5 p.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro, Pa.
Taught by Institute educators, each program includes educational activities related to the season.
