This is a class in the studio,  a MASK is required. Social distancing will be practiced.
Come and learn about the gorgeous copper stamps, tjaps, pronounced chops. You will use these to create the focal area of your painting. You may choose one of the other tjaps such as a daisy, fern, butterfly, peacock and bumble bee, the choice is yours. Colors used will also be your choice. You will be painting in watercolors on Ginwashi rice paper, using hot wax as a resist and then accenting with acrylics once complete.

This is an *Online* class via Zoom. If you have previous Batik watercolor experience feel free to join us via Zoom.
Join us for the day to paint this Susan Shaffer original design which is 16 x 20 inches in size when framed. It is painted with watercolor and wax on Ginwashi rice paper. You will be so thrilled with your finished result. An hour of class prep is required. You will need your own Micron .05 Pigma black waterproof pen.
If you need a class kit, please indicate at registration. A $10 deposit will be charged and refunded as an account credit when Susan’s  supplies are returned to her in good condition. The class kit will include a watercolor palette, water basin, watercolor and wax brushes, wax skillet, and pot. If you have these supplies at home, no need to purchase a class kit.  Class kit pickup will be Thursday, October 1, 4-6 pm.
She will provide brushes, supplies, and paint. Some prep work is required prior to class.  You will receive step by step color photographs, waxing diagrams and Susan will be painting along with you.
This is a FULL day and it will take every minute to complete this beautiful painting. We will not be taking a lunch break, just as we are able to eat we will.
