The story posted on the StoryWalk® trail at Pine Hill Park changes monthly, and a special story event accompanies each one on the second Sunday of each month.
This month’s StoryWalk® Sunday is the perfect way to prepare for a beautiful Thanksgiving celebration.
Kids will join a guided walk along the story trail as they read the book, then make a special craft project to take home.
The featured storybook for November is “I Am Thankful,” by Sheri Wall.
This rhyming storybook follows three different families as they celebrate the holiday with their own traditions, acts of kindness, and ways of giving back.
Kids learn how to be thankful for the people and world around them.
Beautiful and colorful illustrations show diverse families and exciting Thanksgiving adventures, underscoring the meaning of giving and sharing.
The event is FREE, but pre-registration is required by November 10.
Children in grades K–5 may be dropped off and picked up at 3 p.m. All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.

100% of proceeds raised by The Holiday Hotwing Thing goes to support the Greencastle Exchange Club.
These funds will be used to purchase and distribute Christmas gifts for underprivileged children in the area.
With signups currently open and several teams already registered, The Holiday Hotwing Thing will bring together at least 20 teams from around the Mid-Atlantic serving their best wings for the public to judge.
Anyone can register to compete and 20lbs of wings are included in the $75 entry fee.
Wings do not have to be cooked on-site and anyone can enter!
Not interested in cooking wings, but love to eat them?
With over 400lbs of wings being offered for tasting, The Holiday Hotwing Thing will be the ultimate destination for wing lovers!
AND THE PUBLIC WILL JUDGE AND DECIDE THE WINNERS!
In addition to the Wing Competition there will be local vendors including Penn Avenue Meats, Janzell Wines, Bizer Farms and others selling and sampling a wide variety of products.
BBQ cooking demonstrations and BBQ samples will be offered all day long.
Santa might even stop by with a bag of BBQ Goodies to hand out.
Mason-Dixon BBQ Services will be offering holiday discounts on Smokers, Grills, Rubs and Sauces – just about everything will be on sale!
