Downtown Chambersburg’s Sip & Stroll: Volunteers Needed

DCI is in need of volunteers for this event! Please consider volunteering for some time during the event! The success of this event will gauge how similar events will happen going forward for Downtown Chambersburg. Join Downtown Chambersburg Inc. for Sip & Stroll, Saturday, November 14, from 2pm-5pm! This fundraising event combines all that we love about downtown Chambersburg! Experience downtown as it’s meant to be experienced – while strolling! Downtown and local businesses and vendors have paired up to offer some of the best beer, wine, liquor and cider our area has to offer! Ticket holders will stroll around the downtown, visiting different businesses and tasting a variety of beer, liquor, cider, and wine!
Vendors include: Maxie’s Brew House, Gearhouse Brewing Company, Cold Spring Hollow Distillery, Rough Edges Brewing Company and Jan Zell Wines and Cider. This list does not contain every vendor. However, should we receive a major winter storm, our inclement weather date is Nov. 21. Tickets go on sale October 6. Non-refundable after Nov. 6. All proceeds from this event support the mission of Downtown Chambersburg Inc.

(1) No Open Containers. Ticket-holders must consume the pour within the indoor location. Signs and posters will be present to remind you. You will be sited if you consume outside.
(2) All ticket-holders must present their government-issued ID at the check-in table to receive a wrist band. Wrist bands give you access to the beverages. No “group” check-ins. This event is for 21 and older. Check-in table will be on the square near the Chambersburg Heritage Center (100 Lincoln Way East).
(3) You must have masks with you. Present the mask at the check-in table. Wear the mask when you are within six (6) feet of others that are outside of your family unit or when you are inside and are not consuming a pour.
(4) Soft Pretzel Bites from Sweet Rollers are included with your ticket and you can pick it up at the check-in table. Drink Responsibly; bring a designated driver. We also encourage you to purchase food from our restaurants. Contact Uber, Lyft or a local taxi driver. Vendors are RAMP certified and will cut you off if deemed necessary.

Virtual Craft & Vendor Fundraiser

Please join us on October 24th and 25th from 10am to 4pm for our “LIVE” virtual shopping experience where we hope to bring you unique various types of handcrafted items, your favorite direct sales products including local businesses joining us branding their business, services, and products and more.
Also be sure to especially look for Operation Save-A-Vet, Save-A-Pet Programs Booth where you can personally ask questions of the organizations leaders on, if your a veteran, how you can receive benefits from the program if you are in need of potentially a service dog, or how you can foster a service dog, etc.
This event is hosted to raise awareness and funds for Operation Save-A-Vet, Save-A-Pet Program. Please give from the heart and help fund the very program that helps service members receive the service dog along with paying for the training needed through Good Dog located in Greencastle, PA. Without donations from community members like you this program would not be possible.
Operation Save-A-Vet, Save-A-Pet is an exceptional veterans outreach program offered through the Franklin County Veterans Office in Franklin County, Pennsylvania in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania which provides service dogs for Veterans.
Operation Save-A-Vet, Save-A-Pet’s program is dedicated to assisting Franklin County Veterans with service-connected disabilities lead happier, healthier, and more productive lives by providing Veterans with K-9 service companions by way of a trained service dog that will provides assistance to the Veterans. Training is provided through Good Dog Training Facility out of Greencastle, Pennsylvania.
