

If you are already an experienced artist, Susan will help you grow as an artist. However, no previous art experience is necessary to take, and to succeed, in this class.

Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor and Pastel Painting with Jeff Barnhart January/February, Council for the Arts
Mondays January 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, and February 6th, 20th 2023 * 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Using the medium and subject of your choice, this in-person class instructed by Jeff Barnhart will focus on painting techniques and fundamentals that work regardless of medium.
Students may work in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel or pen & ink.
Jeff will offer occasional demos and lots of personal instruction.
Previous experience in drawing or painting is required.
This is not a beginner class.

Dot Christmas Tree, Joyful Arts Studio

This gorgeous Christmas tree is created totally with dots.
I used all metallic paints and a gloss finish on the project, it is absolutely stunning, but the photo does not do it justice.
This is painted on an 8×8 wood canvas and will be a piece you will treasure for years to come.

Batik Watercolors Cardinal in the Snow, Joyful Arts Studio

I am so thrilled to be offering this technique!
The watercolor painting is done on rice paper, reserving color and value with hot wax as we progress through the painting.
The painting is approximately 9 x 12, frames up to 11 x 14.
I will provide all supplies and paint.
You will be so thrilled with your finished result.
This is a jam-packed day so bring a sandwich and snacks, we won’t be taking a true lunch break.
