


Antietam Watershed Wonders: Nature Photographs, The Institute

Join us for this joint program of the Antietam Watershed Association & The Institute.
Led by The Institute’s Watershed Science Coordinator/Environmental Educator, Dave Graff.
The wonders of our glorious watershed area will be explored and shared through magical photographs by talented nature photographers.
Enjoy the watershed’s natural beauty as you learn about its flora and fauna.

Intro to Photography classes, Art Alliance of Greater Waynesboro
June 17th, 2021 – July 22nd, 2021 * 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM
The Intro to Photography class will take place on six Thursdays and is geared toward beginners who wish to learn how to create quality photographs with a variety of settings and subjects.
Audrey Rouzer will teach camera settings and operation, exposure, composition, quality of light, file management, use of color and Lightroom and Photoshop basics.
Intro II will meet for six sessions from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: June 15 & 29, July 8 & 22 and August 5 & 19.
The Intro to Photography II curriculum includes lighting products and people, shooting for a client, business practices (contracts and model releases) and Lightroom and Photoshop demonstrations.
Both classes will be held in the Music Makers space at 46 W. Main St. in downtown Waynesboro.
The classes are open to people age 16 and older and limited to 8 participants, with pre-registration required.
The fee for each class is $100 for adults, discounted to $90 for students, seniors and military.
An additional $45 materials fee is required upfront for each class, which includes one 11×14 print and corresponding frame, plus three 5×7 prints with corresponding mats and sleeves, for an exhibit and reception displayed in Music Makers at the end of the class.
A DSLR camera (with adjustable settings) is recommended, but not required. Covid safety measures will be in place.

Hagerstown Community College Art Students to Exhibit Work at Wilson College
Wilson college will host an exhibition of artwork by students of Hagerstown Community College’s Department of Visual Arts.
February 12th, 2021 – March 10th, 2021 in the Bogigian Gallery * 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday. Admission is FREE.
The exhibition features works of art from current visual arts students at Hagerstown Community College and includes drawings, paintings, and photographs.
Covid-19 safety protocols, including wearing a facemask and maintaining social distancing.
