StoryWalk Sundays-October 2022, The Institute
October 9th,2022 * 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM
Our series of StoryWalk® Sunday adventures for kids continues in October.
The story posted on the StoryWalk® trail at Pine Hill Park changes monthly, and a special story event accompanies each one on the second Sunday of each month.
This month’s StoryWalk® Sunday is the perfect way to welcome the many splendors of fall.
Kids will join a guided walk along the story trail as they read the book, then make a special craft project to take home.
The featured storybook for October is “The Pumpkin Fair,” by Eve Bunting with illustrations by Eileen Christelow.
With bouncy rhymes and delightful watercolor-and-ink illustrations, this story explores a lively and colorful pumpkin fair, where pumpkins of every size are on display.
There are all kinds of pumpkin-inspired foods—and even a marching band in pumpkin suits!
The event is FREE, but pre-registration is required by October 6.
To register, email to: info@natureandcultureinstitute.org or call 717-762-0373. Limited to 20 children.
Children in grades K–5 may be dropped off and picked up at 3 p.m Pine Hill Recreation Area
All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.
