Beginner Birder Workshop, Caledonia State Park

All Families Adults Teens, and children age 6 or older are welcome.
Activities include; Bird Walks, Kid’s Corner, Nature Walk, Birding Bingo Scavenger Hunt, and refreshments.
“Birding Buddies” will help participants identify birds.

Cherry Blossoms Paint Night, The Cumberland Valley Shop

Presented by Tokki Design artist Brittni Pham, attendants will be led through a step-by-step painting session of Cherry Blossoms.
The event will be held at The Cumberland Shop (16 W. King Street, Suite 101, Shippensburg, PA 17257).
The cost is $25 per person, which includes an 11×14 canvas and all painting supplies.
Refreshments will be provided!

As paintings can take the full 2 hours, we recommend that you come by 6:15 pm, not only to get set up, but also to look around The Cumberland Shop and do some shopping!
Face masks are recommended, but not required, in accordance with PA Department of Health Guidelines.
**A paint shirt is recommended.
No talent is required, only an open mind for creativity!

Members of the CVBA network and CI supporters are invited to partake in light drinks and snacks while enjoying this beautiful 30-acre site, or truly soak yourself in history by stepping into their 18th Century Tavern and try a genuine historic charcuterie, stew and perhaps even a drink tasting or two.
CI focuses on Culture and Nature, and so will celebrate the Welsh and Irish holidays (Saint David’s Day March 1st, Saint Patrick Day March 17th) with this mixer with meals and drinks inspired by both cultures. Contact us here, to RSVP.

His presentation ” Meet Thaddeus Stevens, a champion of freedom and equality “.
Thaddeus Stevens was the most powerful congressman during and after the Civil War.
Ross Hetrick was born in Waynesboro, VA and graduated from The University of Virginia in 1975.
His vocational quest saw him reporting for the Daily Press in Newport News, VA, The Baltimore Evening Sun and The Baltimore Sun.
In 1995, Hetrick moved to Gettysburg and operated Ross’s Coffeehouse and Eatery until 2018 when he dedicated himself to fulltime pursuit to the legacy of Thaddeus Stevens.
He writes a monthly column about Stevens called, The Thaddeus Stevens Chronicles.
