An ice filled 4-day festival with fun for the entire family!
Pull out your favorite scarf and mittens, bundle the kids up and be sure to grab your camera; you won’t want to miss the faces of those that sit upon the giant ice throne for the first time or stand beside their favorite sculpture.
You can also catch a glimpse of the carvers from DiMartino Ice sculpting right in front of your eyes!
Skilled in their art form, these carvers have trained for many years and can turn a plain block of ice into just about anything.
It’s amazing to watch.
A huge variety of events and activities are scheduled throughout the four-day festival giving you a chance to explore the best of Chambersburg and experience our vibrant Downtown culture for yourself.

Central Pennsylvania Chainsaw Carvers Festival

1st Annual Chainsaw Carvers Festival at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds
Thursday April 15th * 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM , Friday April 16th * 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Saturday April 17th * 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
This event is presented by the Shippensburg Area Chamber of Commerce, RE/MAX Prestige, and Volvo Construction Equipment and will feature the top professional chainsaw carving artists from all over the U.S. with carvings for sale, carving competition, ax throwing, sculpture auction, food trucks, and more! 
Bring the entire family and see what all the buzz is about!
Advance ticket pricing:  $5/person per day, $12 -Full Event Pass, $40 – Full Event (Family of 4), under age 6 – FREE.
Day of tickets will be an additional $5 over the advance ticket price. Purchase tickets
Current covid safety guidelines will be in effect.  Please wear a mask.

Franklin County Art Alliance Winners at Council for the Arts

The Council for the Arts, 81 North Main Street, Chambersburg, proudly presents  “FCAA Winners”, sponsored by Gartenberg Jewelry.  The show will be on view June 29-August 24, Tuesday through Friday from 10 am – 2 pm, or by appointment. “FCAA Winners” will feature over 30 award-winning works of art from the 47th Annual Membership Exhibition of the Franklin County Art Alliance held earlier this summer. Chosen by judges Ry Fryar and Troy Patterson of the York College of Pennsylvania, the show is an eclectic collection of oils, watercolors, pastels, prints and sculpture by both adult and high school student artists.  The public is invited to visit the gallery Tuesday through Friday 10am-2pm, or by appointment, by calling the Council at 717-284-6883.
