“Women Creating Change” Exhibition at Wilson College

“Women Creating Change” Exhibition at Wilson College

Wednesday December 8th, 2021 thru Friday December 17th, 2021
Wilson College will host an exhibition of works by Adrianna Broome honoring women who are creating change in the world today.
The women celebrated include environmental activist Greta Thunberg and indigenous people’s rights and climate justice advocate Nina Gualinga.
An opening reception will be held from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, at the Bogigian Gallery in Lortz Hall at Wilson College.
The exhibition will continue through December 17, 2021.
From Huntingdon, Pa., Broome is majoring in graphic design, with a secondary area of emphasis in photography and a double minor in art history and ancient world studies.
For her senior capstone project, Broome said that she created a body of work “that celebrates and promotes women around the world from a variety of fields and disciplines, honoring their goals, movements, and accomplishments.
My artistic research addresses Women Creating Change and the impact these powerful women have on our society and culture.”
The Bogigian Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is free. For additional information or an appointment, contact Professor of Fine Arts Philip Lindsey at 717-264-2783 or philip.lindsey@wilson.edu.
