How would you describe your identity? Are there specific moments that define you?
Join Laura Jeu for a poetry workshop to write about yourself and create a document that can reflect your past, present, and future.
Using George Ella Lyon’s poem, “Where I’m From,” as a guide, the workshop will reflect on identify through written word.
There will not be a presentation portion and participants will receive feedback with options to include publication through 11/30 Youth Collaborative.
Seating is limited to 20.

Join Caroline from The Carving Board each month on a tasting tour of fresh cheeses and meats while creating your own special charcuterie board to take home and enjoy.
Caroline specializes in creating beautiful themed spreads for events small and large.
This workshop will teach you how to design a charcuterie board at home for special events or a special touch to a family meal.
Learn about meat and cheese pairings, fruit accents, picking the perfect dry nibbly and more!
Wine tasting accompanies this event for those 21 and over and non-alcoholic beverages will be served as well for all.

Stop by the 11/30 Visitors Center during Old Market Day in downtown Chambersburg for a FREE guided canvas painting workshop.
This design will be fun for artists of all ages and is designed to be easily done by children as well!
Join us as we explore art and create a painting depicting Mt. Parnell seen along the Appalachian skyline across from the historic Fort Loudoun and overlooking the town of St. Thomas along Rt. 30 West!
This beautiful painting will showcase tallest knob of the mountain as the sun has just set illuminating the sky with deep blues, greens, yellow and orange with a bountiful starscape overhead

Researching House Histories Workshop, Franklin County Historical Society

The Franklin County Historical Society is excited to announce a new workshop, “Researching Franklin County House Histories: Examining Records to Help Determine the History of a House.”
Sponsored by FCHS and the Franklin County Visitors Bureau (FCVB), the workshop will take place at FCVB, 15 South Main Street, Chambersburg.
The workshop will analyze different types of records, resources, and structural elements that can help date old houses.
Presenters are Pam Anderson, certified genealogist and owner of Anderson CoGen, Heather Wade, Franklin County Archivist, and Kara Shindle, Franklin County GIS Director.
The cost of the workshop is $45.00 per person and includes lunch.

Dionne Donghia, owner of Sweet Blooms Floral will lead a hands-on workshop on creating beautiful arrangements with locally grown, seasonal blossoms and greens and a variety of unique vases and containers.
Each participant will customize their own arrangement to take home!
While learning about how to maximize the beauty of flowers, in the beauty of our early 1900’s exceptionally renovated industrial space, enjoy your choice of a TBC draft beer or a locally crafted cocktail!
Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the evening and the patio will remain open until 9:00 PM to relax, socialize and shop some of Sweet Blooms plants and arrangements!
The bar is open at 6:00 PM, come early, grab a drink and relax!
Tickets are just $40 and each participant will get 1 drink ticket and all supplies and instruction needed to make and take a custom bouquet.
