May I suggest we pump the breaks and pause for tea? It seems to be a lost practice in our fast-paced society, but I think moments of stillness are worth more than we realize. Maybe we overlook the value of it all because it feels too commonplace and ordinary.

A favorite pastime of the Pennsylvania Dutch was pausing to sip Meadow Tea. If you’re from Lancaster County, you probably know it as “metta tea.”

Traditionally, meadow tea is a foraged product, made from several different aromatic herbs native to the area, specifically wild mint.

Imagine yourself stepping into Monet’s A Walk in the Meadows at Argenteuil, picking leaves and blooms to steep a fresh cup of afternoon tea. What is one of your favorites you would include?

One of our newest favorite blossoms comes from the Linden tree. These blossoms are a feast for the senses, and some say its benefits spread like no other on the mind, body, and skin. Linden’s cooling and calming properties are helpful in easing colds, flus, and seasonal allergies, equipping the body so it can work on fighting infection.

We’ve paired this beneficial flower with lemon balm and Moroccan mint for a refreshing blend, combining flavor + function, creating our version of Meadow Tea.

Stop by Undone, 3385 Wayne Road in Chambersburg, for a sampling of this refreshing brew!
