DESCRIPTION:Wednesday January 28th\, 2026 * 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM\nJoin CAEDC to celebrate the launch of the 2026 Coffee & Chocolate Trail!\n\n\nJoin CAEDC to celebrate the launch of the 2026 Coffee & Chocolate Trail!\nEveryone who signs up for the trail receives a free coffee & pastry\, so grab your friends and network with other professionals!\nFollowing the launch of our Coffee & Chocolate Trail\, we invite you to enjoy these fun\, informative\, and historical events happening on January 28th\, part of three days of activities celebrating the America250PA Cumberland County kickoff.\nShippensburg History Center\, 52 W. King Street\nEnjoy refreshments\, displays\, and living history demonstrations from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM\nWidow Piper’s Tavern\, 352 E. King Street\nBefore the Carlisle Courthouse was built\, the Widow Piper’s Tavern was used for Cumberland County court sessions from 1750 to 1751.\nIt was built around 1735 by Samuel Perry and is believed to be among the earliest west of the Susquehanna River.\nThe building was used as a tavern by Widow Piper by 1740 and was probably Shippensburg’s earliest public house.\nEnjoy free tours from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM\n NOTE: Visitors will need to climb stairs to reach the second floor.\nFashion Archives & Museum Sneak Peek\, 501 N. Earl Street\nMuseum Director Karin Bohlecke shares what goes into putting together an exhibit and provides a sneak peek at some of the clothing\, accessories\, and other objects featured in their upcoming exhibit: “Happy Birthday!
