Historic Talk – The Pennsylvania Soldiers’ Orphan Schools 1864-2009 and Scotland School for Veterans Children 1895-2009.

The talk is given by William Peck Jr., a lay historian of this program and a native of Chambersburg, CASHS 1977.

Mr. Peck has traveled the state visiting historical societies in the counties of the Soldiers’ Orphan Schools and presenting talks.

His legacy to this program extends from his parents who were graduates of Scotland School in 1942 and 1950, along with multiple ancestors (on both sides) who attended either Chester Springs or Harford SOS.
