The Franklin County Visitors Bureau and Chambersburg IceFest are once again teaming up with Benchfield Farms to bring back one of IceFest’s most cherished traditions—horse drawn wagon and carriage rides through downtown Chambersburg.
Visitors can enjoy a relaxing ride along Main Street, taking in the sparkling beauty of dozens of hand carved ice sculptures that make IceFest one of the region’s most anticipated winter celebrations.
Rides depart from The Grant Street Loft, 227 Grant Street, conveniently located near Broad Street.
Guests can warm up inside the Loft’s cozy warming station and enjoy treats before or after their ride.

– Thursday, January 29th — 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
– Friday, January 30th — 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
– Saturday, January 31st — 6:15 PM to 9:00 PM
– Sunday, February 1st — Noon to 4:00 PM
Pricing & Details
– Horse & Wagon Rides: $12 per person
– Carriage Rides: $36 per carriage (carriage seats up to four people)
– Children age 3 and under: Free when seated on an adult’s lap
– Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
IceFest horse drawn rides offer a memorable way to experience IceFest—perfect for families, couples, and anyone who wants to enjoy the festival from a different perspective.
Limited day of availability may be possible; visitors are welcome to stop by the boarding area to check for open seats.
