Venture out to Buttonwood Nature Center and explore nature at night!

In the dark, we must adjust to using our other senses to explore the world around us, just like many animals do!

Participants will go on a hike to practice using their other senses through games and hands-on experiences, like using your sense of touch to guess what nature item you’re holding, trying to use your eyes to guess the color you’re writing with in the dark, and taking a calm and quiet moment to look at all the stars in the sky.

Buttonwood educator Mary Claire King said, “Experiencing the natural world in the dark is an exciting experience we don’t often indulge in, but one that can be so fun and enlightening.”

All ages welcome. Cost is $5 per person and registration is required—there is a limit of 20 participants so make sure to register today!
