Exciting (free!) happenings in September from the Conococheague Audubon Society:
Field Trip

What: FALL MIGRANTS, a one mile walk in wet grass at Heisey Orchard, then other possible walks as we travel on Michaux SF road.
Field trip will end by 1:00pm.
When: September 5th, Saturday * 7:15 AM
Where: Meet at Park and Ride, Scotland Exit 20, I-81 northbound.
Some walking and bring binoculars and snack or lunch.
Birding and Meeting
Anyone who would like to bird before the meeting please gather in the parking lot at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church at 6:00 PM
Bring binoculars if you have them, if not, we have a few pair to share.

You do not need to be a member to attend.
Field Trip

What: BEGINNING BIRDER WALK.
Come practice basic birding skills during a one mile walk along park trails where we hope to see and hear fall migrants.
When: September 19th, Saturday 8:00 AM
Where: Furnace Run Park, 2244 Lindsay Lot Road, Shippensburg.
Meet at visitor center parking area.
Bring binoculars or contact Ron George to borrow some.
Conservation Clean-Up
Who: Sign up with Joe and Vanessa Miller 717.385.9641 or millerhouse@embarqmail.com
What: Adopt-A-Highway clean-up on 2 miles of Rte. 997 (Black Gap Road) west from I-81.
Pick up trash on section with wide shoulders, easy walking. Supplies provided.
When: September 26th, Saturday at 9:00 AM
Where: Meet at Scotland Park & Ride, I-81 exit 20.
