Buttonwood Nature Center is hosting a Sporting Clays Shoot Fundraiser at Orvis Hill Country Shooting Grounds in Fairfield, Pa.
A fundraiser for Buttonwood, the event includes morning refreshments, safety instructions, ear and eye protection gear, 15 outdoor shooting stations with 100 clay targets, water and snacks, and a catered lunch.
“This is our fourth year hosting this exciting event,” said Jessica Watson, Buttonwood’s assistant director and event coordinator.
“This is a chance to get outside, test your sportsman skills, and have fun while supporting Buttonwood Nature Center.”
The 15-station course at Orvis Hill Country takes advantage of the topography of the region with panoramic 10-mile views at some of the stations.
Groups of four or five rotate through the stations and are challenged by a diversity of clay target presentations.
Orvis Hill will award trophies for first, second and third place winners.
The registration fee is $125 per person and is open to those age 18 or older.
The fee includes coffee and donuts during registration; ear and eye protection gear; 15 shooting stations with 100 targets; water & snacks, and a catered lunch.
Participants may bring their own shotgun and ammunition.
Orvis Hill Country has a limited supply of shotguns to rent, and ammunition can be purchased in the club house.
A limited number of golf carts are also available to rent.
Buttonwood will sell tickets for a basket raffle and 50/50 during the event.
