1980s-Inspired Wine Release Party | Adams County Winery, Orrtanna
July 12 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Saturday July 12th, 2025 * 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Adams County Winery is thrilled to announce the release of Heat Wave, the second wine in its limited-edition Decade’s Series, launching on Friday, July 12, 2025, at the Farm Winery in Orrtanna.
In celebration of 50 flavorful years, the winery is taking a nostalgic trip through time, releasing a special wine for each of four memorable decades.
This summer’s tribute to the 1980s comes in the form of a spicy Sangria-style wine, bold and fruit-forward with just the right amount of kick.
Whether you enjoy it chilled, or with fresh fruit, Heat Wave is ready to become your go-to summer pour.
“We wanted something that captured the energy and bold flavors of the 80s, and Heat Wave does exactly that,” said Dan Baumgardner, General Manager.
“This wine is fruit forward, vibrant, and just a little bit wild. Kind of like the decade that inspired it.”
The release party promises a full day of retro fun and celebration with live music by Vintage Crew from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, performing decades of classic rock with plenty of 80’s hits in the mix.
Guests can explore local vendors in the pavilion, and feast on wood-fired pizza and Bavarian pretzels from the Terrace Bistro, open from 11:00 AM. to 4:00 PM.
Themed wine slushies and samples of the new wine will be available in the Tasting Room, in addition to the current wine menu.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive in their best 1980s attire, and, if they have one, to cruise in with a vintage vehicle from the 1980–1989 era.
Guests can look forward to a nostalgic day of wine, retro vibes, and totally tubular fun on the scenic winery grounds.
