What: AM for FALL MIGRANTS. One-mile walks in wet grass at Heisey Orchard, then other possible walks as we travel on Michaux SF road.

When: September 1st, Monday * 7:15 AM – 1:00 PM

Where: Meet at Park and Ride, Scotland Exit 20, I-81 northbound.

Some walking & bring binoculars and snack.

Birding and Meeting

Anyone who would like to bird before the meeting please gather in the parking lot at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church at 6:00 PM

Bring binoculars if you have them, but if not, we have a few pair to share.

Who: Ron George and Tracy Snyder

What: Bird is a Verb. Members Ron George and Tracy Snyder will wow us with excellent bird photos and birding insights.

This program is excellent for beginning and experienced birders alike!

When: September 8th, Monday * 7:00 PM

Where: St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2695 Luther Dr., Chambersburg

You do not need to be a member to attend.

Conservation Clean-Up

Who: Contact Joe and Vanessa Miller 717.377.6507 (Joe) or millerhouse@embarqmail.com if you can lend a hand.

What: Adopt-A-Highway clean-up on 2 miles of Rte. 997 (Black Gap Road) west from I-81.

Pick up trash on section with wide shoulders, easy walking.

Supplies provided.

When: September 27th, Saturday * 9:00 AM

Where: Meet at Scotland Park & Ride, I-81 exit 20.

Year-Round

Who: Larry and Sharon Williams 

What: SOAR (Studying Ornithology Around the Region) walks in various locations in Franklin County.

When: The first and third Saturday of every month * 8:00 AM
