The Middleburg/Mason-Dixon Line Historical Society will meet at the State Line Ruritan Building, 15481 Park Drive, located off Route 11 at the State Line, PA Community Park.

Guest speaker is Ross Hetrick from Gettysburg, PA.

Hetrick is president and founder of the Thaddeus Stevens Society.

He was a business reporter for 20 years in Virginia and Baltimore, and owner of Ross’s Coffeehouse and Eatery in Gettysburg from 1996-2004.

The program will be “Thaddeus Stevens, The Greatest Unknown Person in American History.”

Hetrick will portray Thaddeus Stevens and talk about his political career.

Stevens was a powerful congressman during and after the Civil War, a champion of freedom and equality.

The public is invited, free.
