The Middleburg/Mason-Dixon Line Historical Society will meet at the State Line Ruritan Building, 15481 Park Drive, located off Route 11 at the State Line, PA Community Park.

Guest speaker is Bob O’Connor, an author of non-fiction and historical fiction Civil War books from Charles Town, WV.

The program will be “Civil War Spirituality.” Bob will discuss how both southern and northern preachers used the Bible to convince their faithful that slavery was either right or wrong.

He will examine the spirituality of political and military leaders, such as Abraham Lincoln, who was not a Christian.
