Lemasters First Annual Tree Lighting | Sniders Elevator

Friday December 1st, 2023 * 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

1. The Lemasters Historical Society is hosting the first ever Christmas tree lighting event.

2. There will be Christmas carolers and hopefully another group to play some Christmas music.

3. There will be hot chocolate, coffee and baked goods available at the Whistlestop.

4. We have Charlie from Pinkie’s Up, which is located in Mercersburg, will be there with his photo booth.

5. I’m trying to get a special speaker to say a few words.

6. We are trying to get a potted Christmas tree for the ceremony which will also be used as a tribute tree in honor of A.C. Myers.

A spot to plant the tree has not been decided yet.

7. We’re asking that YOU, our awesome citizens of Lemasters and Markes, to bring 1 ornament that you can put on the tree to represent your family.

It should be weather worthy.

8. Of course, we will have Santa Claus pay us a visit.

9. We are also inviting the folks in Markes to come and celebrate with us.
