The tree presented by The Salvation Army of Chambersburg is adorned with handmade fabric ornaments…every stitch is held together with prayers and blessings. The fabric used has been generously provided by donations received by our Women’s Auxiliary. The Women’s Auxiliary sort through thousands of yards of donated fabric to sell at our Annual Fabric Fair, which raises money for the work of The Salvation Army in our community and beyond.

Tuscarora Wildlife Education Project

The Charles Brightbill Environmental Center, located on the campus of the James Buchanan High School, sits on 16 acres. It houses a large collection of taxidermy specimens in dioramas that depict a variety of ecosystems. The Center is visited by school groups, homeschool groups, Scouts, and Sr. Citizen groups. Programs are designed to meet the needs of those visiting. This tree is decorated with ornaments made by children who attended the Nature Crafts for Kids event last December.
