The Capitol Theatre’s $5.00 Summer Movies are back!  This Summer brings another slate of great movies, but this Summer each movie has been chosen by community leaders who will introduce the film they’ve chosen.  They will tell you why they chose the film and why it’s so special to them, maybe offer some trivia or other insight into their chosen film.  The films fall into one of three categories:  June:  Musicals; July:  Westerns and August:  Family Friendly.  The movies are on Thursdays with two movie showings:  3:00pm & 6:00pm

The Capitol Theatre’s Summer Movies are coming to the big screen and the community leaders who will introduce the film amidst the beautiful and nostalgic setting of the 1927 historic Capitol Theatre in Chambersburg, (Franklin County) PA.   Buy $5.00 tickets at the door, by phone through the Box Office at (717) 263-0202 or at http://www.thecapitoltheatre.org/movies.html.  Movie trailers can also be viewed online. An additional $1.00 per transaction fee will be charged for online purchases.  Thank you to Franklin County Visitors Bureau for sponsoring the movies. The Capitol Theatre also would like to recognize Summit Health, which generously made the movie screen possible.  Enjoy summer movies at the Capitol Theatre.  Immerse yourself into the movie with a surround sound experience. Visit the concession area for popcorn, candy, soda and water. For June and July evening movies, enjoy a glass of beer or wine with the movie. (All food and beverages are available at an extra charge.)
