Franklin County 4-H Kicks Off First Annual Livestock Roundup | Chambersburg Rod & Gun Club

This two-day event will showcase the hard work, dedication, and livestock handling skills of 4-H youth from across Franklin County, culminating in a thrilling market sale where community members have a chance to directly support local agriculture and youth development.
Schedule of Events
Friday, August 8
Market Goat Show – Begins at 5:00 PM
Market Lamb Show – Immediately follows the goat show
Saturday, August 9
Market Beef Show – Begins at 9:00 AM
Market Hog Show – Starts at approximately 10:30 AM
The excitement continues into the evening with the capstone event of the weekend:
Welcome & Buyer Information Session – 5:30 PM
Livestock Market Sale Begins – 6:00 PM
Animals will sell in the following order: Beef, Goats, Pigs, Sheep, followed by Companion Animals.
The sale will begin with the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion animals for each species — the top of the class, representing the best of the best.
Come hungry! Local organizations and small businesses will be offering a delicious selection of food and drinks on site, with food stands opening as early as 4:00 PM on Saturday, just ahead of the evening’s market sale.
From grilled favorites to sweet treats, there will be plenty to enjoy while you support the youth and community

The Stitches in Time Barn Quilt Trail includes more than three dozen quilt squares spread throughout Franklin County, PA. Some are inspired by traditional quilt patterns or family designs. Between each square are the many stories of Franklin County.
