The Franklin County Visitors Bureau is teaming up with the United Way of Franklin County to celebrate service, community, and connection with the Viva Volunteerism Mixer.
Community is common ground for these two Franklin County organizations.
The mixer will be held at the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center, on the southwest quadrant of Memorial Square, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
The public is invited to celebrate with the people that make so much happen—Volunteers!
United Way of Franklin County recognizes the commitment of people, summing it up with the well-known quote from Margaret Mead: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever does.” Communities are built around service and dedication plus the willingness to give back. Opportunities like this, to bring people together, are key to creating the next generation of ideas that propel our community.
Many of Franklin County’s tourism assets are rooted in community and volunteerism is a defining element in Franklin County history, the county’s downtowns, and even the county’s natural assets.

The Stitches in Time Barn Quilt Trail includes more than three dozen quilt squares spread throughout Franklin County, PA. Some are inspired by traditional quilt patterns or family designs. Between each square are the many stories of Franklin County.
