Fingers pinchingThe Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies is offering an Introduction to Hand building Techniques class on February 16th, 18th, 23rd, March 1st, 3rd and 10th at the Ceramic Arts Center at 13 South Church Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268

This is a beginning pottery class where the student will learn the basic principles of hand building using stoneware clay.  This class focuses on key hand building techniques including pinch, coil, and slab construction.  Surface decoration and glazing will also be taught.

Students with no or little experience are encouraged to register for this 15 hour course and is limited to 6 students. The cost is $200.00, which includes step by step hands-on guided instruction by instructor Trudy Gembe-Palughi, materials, weekend studio time, glazes and firings.
