When a new month begins, a celebration is in order! Downtown Chambersburg celebrates 1st Friday each month and on Friday, September 4th the tradition carries on with a special, Fido’s 1st Friday from 5pm to 8pm. Parking is FREE on the street and the borough lots after 5pm

Visit Downtown Chambersburg for an evening of music, dining, shopping and PUPPIES! As the work week comes to a close and the weekend begins, kick it off with a meal at one of your favorite Downtown restaurants, many who offer dinner specials. With so many options, there’s tastes that will satisfy any palette.  Pap’s Dog Stop will join the celebration on the Square bringing the best (hot) dogs in Chambersburg! Speaking of dogs, there will be other dog and animal friendly vendors popping up where 11/30 cross.

This 1st Friday, Downtown Chambersburg invites animal lovers to bring your four-legged friend to strut their stuff in the Puppy Parade! Beginning at 6pm at the Coyle Free Library, stroll down Main Street and show off your furry pal! Awards for Best Dressed, Fluffiest, Best Smile, Biggest and Smallest pup will be awarded at the finish!

At 6:30pm musicians and music lovers are invited to the Franklin County 11/30 Visitor’s Center as music fills the air during Open Mic Night! Open Mic Night will be held outside of the 11/30 Visitor’s center and will move inside if there is rain. Listeners are welcome to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the show; FCVB will provide seating for 20. Open Mic Night celebrates talent of all ages and is a friendly, supportive and encouraging atmosphere for all to perform and enjoy! Your favorite boutiques, shops, and galleries will offer extended hours for shoppers to explore. Fall is in the air and the Downtown businesses are already stocking up with the coziest sweaters, décor, gifts and treats to welcome the new season! Before you head out for the evening, don’t forget to satisfy your sweet tooth! Downtown Chambersburg offers plenty of shops and stops with unique and delectable treats!
