The Franklin County Visitors Bureau invites visitors to celebrate and remember veterans during November. Visit the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center to explore the Letterkenny World War II Italian Prisoner of War Experience. The exhibit remains up through November 13.

Discover the Franklin County Military Trail of History. A special guidebook helps local residents and visitors to explore the county’s contribution to America’s military interactions. To access the guidebook online, select here. Overall, Franklin County has more than 11,000 veterans in residence. These men and women served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and the Gulf Wars. Veterans make up more than 9% of the county population.

A special exhibit, shared by Brenda Sciamanna, shows the military uniform of her father, Bruno Gene Foschia, a World War II Veteran that served as Sergeant in 82nd Airborne and 504th Airborne Infantry Regiment. Mr. Foschia received a Victory Medal for his active duty during World War II.
