Chambersburg IceFest and Franklin County Visitors Bureau are pairing up with Benchfield Farms for IceFest horse and wagon rides and carriage rides. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the glistening beauty of dozens of ice sculptures along the Main Street of Chambersburg. Rides load at The Grant Street Loft, 227 Grant Street, near Broad Street. Stay toasty in the warming station, and enjoy the ice sculptures at The Loft. Thursday and Friday, January 30-31, rides are 5 PM to 9 PM, Saturday rides are 6:15 PM to 9 PM, February 1, and Sunday, February 2, rides are Noon to 4 PM.
Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost to ride is $8/person. Babies and children up to and including age three ride free, if they are sitting on an adult’s lap. Rides last about 20 minutes and are not guided. Carriage rides are also offered. The carriage can hold up to four people and the fee is $30/carriage ride. Enjoy a cozy ride with someone special or pair up with another couple. There may be space available day-of the ride, so feel free to stop by the boarding area to see if there is capacity for additional riders.
