The H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center on the campus of Shippensburg University announces new shows for their 2024 spring line-up, including legendary band AIR SUPPLY on June 8, 2024. Tickets will go on sale Friday, January 19th at 10 a.m. at luhrscenter.com or 717-477-SHOW.

The trademark sound of Russell Hitchcock’s soaring tenor voice and Graham Russell’s simple yet majestic songs created a unique sound that would forever be known as Air Supply. They have had worldwide success with the major hits “All Out of Love”, “Make Love Out of Nothing At All”, “Lost In Love”, “Here I am”, “The One That You Love” and many more. The albums Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now & Forever, and The Greatest Hits sold in excess of 20 million copies. “Lost in Love” was named Song of the Year in 1980, and, with the other singles, sold more than 10 million copies. Air Supply continues to delight audiences around the world.

Other new shows added to the spring line-up include Canadian band The Guess Who on June 1st. The Guess Who are best-known for their impressive catalogue of songs including “These Eyes”, “No Time” and the perennial hit “American Woman.” Families will enjoy the international smash hit, Dinosaur World Live on April 28th, and Master Illusionist Rick Thomas, one of the greatest illusionists in the world today (headlining in Las Vegas for 15 years and performing in 50 countries on his five world tours), in his crowning achievement; Mansion of Dreams on May 3, a show weaving illusion, magic, comedy, animals, and dancers into a stunning spectacle touted as the finest theatrical magical production worldwide.

These events join the current winter/spring line-up at Luhrs Center, which features international stars and Broadway hits, from the national tour of Broadway’s Hairspray on January 25 to international percussion and dance sensation Drum Tao on February 6, Menopause the Musical on February 9th, and On Your Feet: The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan on February 20th. Grammy-Award Winner Michael W. Smith comes to Luhrs Center February 29th on his national Forever Tour.

Classic rock fans can enjoy Atlanta Rhythm Section and Pure Prairie League’s 50th anniversary tour on February 24th, while country fans will love Johnny Cash: The Official Concert Experience, which showcases Johnny’s iconic performances from tv’s The Johnny Cash Show with a live band of talented singers and instrumentalists accompany projections of Cash’s greatest performances in perfect sync, before offering their own brilliant takes on Johnny’s greatest hits. The band is led by guitarist Debbie Horton, the only woman to have played lead guitar for the great Johnny Cash.

Luhrs Center offers special experiences in March with The Irish Tenors 25th Anniversary tour on March 3rd and Small Island Big Song on March 25th, a multi-media live concert with film performed by indigenous musicians and dancers from Pacific and Indian Island nations, showcasing the richly diverse musical influences of these cultures from reggae, jazz and rock flavored with indigenous percussion and dance against the beautiful nature images from their home islands.

The sensational Piano Guys returns to Luhrs Center April 23rd which also is the evening of the annual Luhrs Circle of Friends Gala, celebrating donors that make Luhrs Center programming possible. Shippensburg University’s music department continues to offer wonderful music to the public, with free concerts April 7, 15 & 21. Flamenco guitarist Benise and his ensemble of musicians and dancers comes to Luhrs just in time for Cinco Di Mayo with FIESTA on May 4th. All the great acts on stage at Luhrs Center will warm up your winter and brighten your spring!
