Franklin County Visitors Bureau is teaming up with the Healthy Eating Adventure for a talk over tea at this Lunch & Learn!

Magic Microbiome is another installment of the Healthy Eating Adventure. In May 2025, authors Dr. Liz George and Chef Nick Iula premiered their co-authored book, Healthy Eating Adventure: The Science, Success Stories, and Recipes for a Plant-Based Lifestyle. This year, Karin Lee, a member of the Healthy Eating Adventure Team, will share her knowledge of a healthy microbiome as part of physical and mental wellness. The event is held in the second-floor Great Room of the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center. There is no charge to attend.

Magic Microbiome Lunch & Learn is bringing the magic of tea to compliment Karin Lee’s presentation. It will showcase whole-food, plant-based eating at “high tea.”

The event is held in the Great Room–the second level of the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center. Karen Stiffler is preparing the plant-based, whole food and tea party, featuring:

  • Chickpea & Avocado finger sandwiches – two varieties: one with lime and cilantro and one with lemon and basil
  • Cucumber Sandwich with sprouts & chives, using a freshly made, oil-free, vegan spread
  • Fruit presentation
  • Variety of fresh veggies and vegan crackers along with four spreads, pates, and fresh pairings
  • Kale & Apple Salad with dijon dressing
  • Selection of vegan pastries and tasties

Take your lunch time to focus on healthiness. Enjoy a cup of tea and delicious, nourishing food as you discover how to uplift your well-being. Register here on Eventbrite. Spaces are limited. This event does not have a charge, so if you register, please attend.
