Pop A Cork 2015Gather your favorite people together and come chill out at the 7th Annual Pop A Cork for the Capitol event being held rain or shine outside and inside the Capitol Theatre Center in downtown Chambersburg, PA on Saturday August 15, 2015 from 12:00pm to 7:00pm.   The event features:  eight Pennsylvania wineries, live entertainment, delicious food, unique quality vendors, great raffle items and more! You will also be showing your support by helping to raise money for the Capitol Theatre Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located at 159 S. Main St. in downtown Chambersburg, PA.

The intimate setting of Pop A Cork for the Capitol provides a great opportunity to chat with each of the winery staff members about what’s new with each of them!  Wine will be available for purchase by the glass or by the bottle and a wine check is available.  Beer and non-alcoholic beverages will also be sold.

12:15 to 2:00 pm  Kerensa Gray (Waynesboro, PA) Cool jazz with hot vocals. 20th Annual Billie Holiday Vocal Competition winner.  Kerensa’s music finds balance in her ability to skillfully interweave melodies of jazz, blues and folk music into a sound that is undeniably and uniquely her, while her talent as a gifted vocalist unearths yet unseen perspectives into the standards that are the soundtracks to our lives. She has shared the stage with artists such as Stellar Award Winner Isaiah Thomas and opened for Grammy and Dove award winners CeCe Winans and Vickie Winans.   Kerensa has also served as guest vocalist for the Drew Davidsen Band.

4:45 to 6:45 pm  *The Hello Strangers (Mercersburg, PA) Award – winning Original Roots Rock, Alternative Country, Pennsyltucky-Fried Sister Harmonies. The Hello Strangers has released their first full-length, self-titled album with multi-award winning (Grammy, Emmy, Dove, Tele) IMI Records in Nashville, Tennessee.  This Austin-influenced, rural-Pennsylvanian, Larissa Chace Smith and Brechyn Chace sister duo fronts the band with haunting harmonies and original songwriting style.

EVENT ADMISSION TICKETS:

Event admission tickets can be purchased online at http://www.thecapitoltheatre.org/specialevents.html , by calling the Capitol Theatre Box Office at (717) 263-0202 or at the door.  Event admission is $15 and includes the live music and a souvenir wine glass while supplies last.  Event admission tickets for Designated Driver and those under age 21 are $7.00 including the live music.  Those under 21 years of age must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older.  This is an all ages pay event.  Must show identification of age to consume alcohol.   Service pets only, no coolers, no outside food or beverages permitted, welcome to bring chair.

Entrance to Pop A Cork for the Capitol is through the main theatre doors under the big Capitol Theatre marquee at 159 S. Main St. in Chambersburg.  The event is outside/inside – rain/shine.
