There’s still time to join the Franklin County Visitors Bureau on April 29th for an evening of living history, great food/beverages, games and networking during the Spring into History Mini-Mixer.

April is Spring into History month, so the lobby of the Visitors Center will be transformed into The Spirit of Independence Tavern where you can mix and mingle with characters of history. Join John Miller, the Executive Director of the Shippensburg History Center and the new Certified Tourism Ambassador Manager for Franklin County Visitors Bureau, in a living history demonstration of the Average Soldier of the Continental Army. He’ll showcase how a typical soldier would have dressed, what gear they might have carried and what their rations were like.

Attendees will also learn about the Certified Tourism Ambassador program, its benefits, and how to join. Plus, you’ll be able to test your knowledge of Franklin County history in a game where you can win tickets to upcoming shows, gift cards for businesses on the Pour Trail and featured in Fresh Foods of Franklin County, and/or America 250 & Franklin County swag!

Don’t miss the fun and festivities at the Spring into History Mini-Mixer on April 29th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm at the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center in downtown Chambersburg. The event is free and open for to all to enjoy but registration is encouraged by clicking here.
