Enjoy local and regional talent at A Cappella & Unplugged at the Capitol Theatre for Round 1 on June 4th at 7 PM.
The Franklin County Visitors Bureau (FCVB) is celebrating talent in Franklin County at A Cappella & Unplugged 2022.
After a two-year COVID hiatus, the talent of A Cappella & Unplugged returns to the stage of the Capitol Theatre on June 4th, 7 PM.
From January through May, the Franklin County Visitors Bureau held open mics at the Franklin County 11/30 Visitors Center in Chambersburg, 633 Brewing in Waynesboro, TBC at the Barrel House in Chambersburg, and One North Coffee in Mercersburg.
In all, twenty-three acts passed on from the open mic portion of A Cappella & Unplugged to Round 1 at the Capitol Theatre.
Participants are vying for a top prize of $500 and a chance to perform in front of thousands at 1864 Ransoming, Burning & Rebirth of Chambersburg on July 16th.
At the June 4th A Cappella & Unplugged Round 1, a panel of judges will select the top six performers to move onto the Finals.
The audience at Round 1 will select the People’s Choice and receives $100.
From the six acts that perform on Saturday, July 16, 7 PM, the audience will select the winner of $500.
A Cappella & Unplugged 2022 is the eighth musical competition.
The event began to add a musical celebration to 1864–the annual event that remembers the historic burning of Chambersburg and the amazing rebirth of the community from the ashes of war.
It celebrates the spirit of people.
Attendance is free.
