Buttonwood Nature Center is offering a new series of five outdoor nature programs for preschoolers.
Designed for pre-K children ages 2.5 to 5, the Wee Wonders programs will run on five Thursdays, October 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at Pine Hill Recreation Area in Waynesboro, Pa. Registration for the full series is required.
Taught by Buttonwood educators, activities include exploring the outdoors, hikes, theme-related story books, rhymes, finger plays, nature games, crafts, songs, and puppets.
“Activities are geared for our youngest budding naturalists, and are designed to inspire outdoor wonder as we celebrate the fall season,” said Adele Tressler, Buttonwood educator.
Pre-registration for the full series and payment in advance are required by Friday, Sept. 25. The fee for all five sessions is $40 per child for Buttonwood members; $45 for the general public, per child. Limited to 15 children. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
