Across the Pond is a multi-instrumental trio performing their own high-energy arrangements of Irish and Scottish tunes and songs.   While very passionate about their traditional roots, their arrangements contain modern influences.  Finding that special balance between tradition and contemporary is what separates Across the Pond from many other Irish bands.  They grab the audience’s attention from the very first beat right to the end.  Their music is fresh and entertaining.

With repertoire ranging from hauntingly slow airs to high-energy jigs and reels, and love ballads, to high energy traditional and contemporary songs, Across the Pond will take you on a musical rollercoaster ride of emotions.

Mike Morrison, Chuck Krepley and Dan Diviney are three native Pennsylvanians with diverse musical backgrounds, including mountain music from the Appalachians, derived from the Scottish and Irish who settled there centuries ago.  They’ve developed their own unique style in the many years they’ve been performing together from Virginia Beach to Montreal, QC!

Formed in 2010, Across the Pond climbed the Reverbnation charts and quickly became recognized as the premier Celtic band in south-central Pennsylvania.   Shortly after the release of their first CD, ‘Kid on the Mountain’ in October 2014, they were named in the Top 20 Celtic folk bands world-wide by Marc Gunn, and they were selected as co-winners of the Texas Scots Talent Competition.  One track was voted the number one Celtic Contemporary song for 2015, and another track nominated Best Roots Traditional track by Celtic Internet Radio.

Garryowen Irish Pub of Gettysburg is Irish-owned and will be catering our Irish Happy Hour serving up delicious Irish fare including:

Shepherd’s Pie, Guinness Beef Stew, Pulled Boar Shoulder Sandwich, Scotch Eggs

Their busy kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners’ family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland.

Come prepared to see if you have the luck of the Irish and take a chance to win  our popular Irish-themed Raffle Basket!

Dane joined The National Dance Company of Ireland’s ‘Rhythm of the Dance’ in 2007 where he performed in the Irish dance troupe for two years.

From 2009-2011 he toured worldwide with the original irish dance phenomenon ‘Riverdance’ where Dane met ‘Prodijig’ creator Alan Kenefick and the first Prodijig troupe formed to compete on SkyOne’s ‘Got To Dance’ which they won and led them to their first full stage show ‘Footstorm’ in Dublin, across the UK and China.

In 2016 he became the dance captain for Prodijig’s latest show ‘The Revolution’ which pushes the boundaries of Irish dance.  Dane then returned to ‘Rhythm of the Dance’ to perform the lead role and took over as the choreographer and dance director for the show. Since then he has completely updated the show and created their brand new world tour. “I’m so excited to see the audiences reaction to my most recent work. That’s what I really love about it all!”

Amy Marie Prior has achieved 6 world medals over the years including currently being ranked 8th in The World and 5 x southern regional Oireachtas champion. The highlight of her career so far was Performing lead in front of 7,000 in Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Amy is honoured to be touring with such a great cast and company and is excited for her future ahead.  Amy was born and raised in Woodford Green, London where she began to dance at the age of 3 with dance teachers Bertie and Helen Roddy. When they gave up teaching she then went on to dance for her close relations Mandy O’loughlin and Sean Hennigan for the Hennigan O’loughlin school. This is where she obtained top 10 in every major competition she entered including every championship in United Kingdom.
