Rotary: Battle of the Minds 2021, The Institute

Thursday, September 30th * 5:30 PM – 9:30 PM at Green Grove Gardens
Battle of the Minds—the ultimate trivia challenge!
NOTICE: This event was rescheduled from last year, when the originally-planned event was cancelled due to Covid.
In 2021, the event may look a little different, but with safety protocols in place, we plan to engage in a Battle of the Minds!
The Institute was selected as The Rotary Club of Waynesboro’s non-profit co-sponsor of the 2021 Battle of the Minds fundraiser event.
Plan to enjoy an evening at Green Grove Gardens that includes a silent auction, live auction, cocktail hour, fabulous meal—and the main attraction, the Battle of the Minds trivia game—all while raising funds for not one but TWO great community causes!
The game pits each table against the others in a Trivial Pursuit-style game with multiple choice questions.
When a question appears on the screen, each table will have 10 seconds to choose their best answer and respond using an electronic remote.
The leader board is updated throughout the game and the winner will leave with more than just pride.
The winning team will receive an $800 cash prize.
Check out the Battle of the Minds website for more information, and stay tuned for more details from The Institute!

Renfrew Museum and Park, Farmstead Taste & Tour

Renfrew Museum and Park, Farmstead Taste & Tour

Treat yourself or someone special to a delicious farm-to-table dining experience at Renfrew Museum and Park. Our Farmstead Taste & Tour program offers guests the opportunity to sample seasonal, locally sourced fare inspired by the traditions of our historic Pennsylvania German farmstead.
Your meal will be hosted in Renfrew’s Wagon Shed Room inside our converted Victorian barn. Servers dressed in authentic early 19th century period clothing will wait upon you with old-fashioned hospitality.
Start with a hearty coursed meal of salad, soup, and a selection of fresh-baked breads accompanied by Dutch Valley preserves and creamy, churned butter followed by a trio of sandwiches. After lunch, enjoy a tour of the farmstead outbuildings and 1812 stone Museum House, then return for a scrumptious dessert.
Our menu changes seasonally and reflects the rhythms of life on the farm. Produce is sourced from Greensburg Farms, Hagerstown, MD and prepared by our friends at Keystone Family Restaurant, Waynesboro, PA.
