5th Annual Greencastle Police Department “FISH WITH A COP” Event.
Greencastle Police Department and local Law Enforcement Officers will be participating with our 5th Annual “Fish with A Cop” event.
The event will be held at the Greencastle Sportsman’s Association in Greencastle, PA. and run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m with a rain date of September 18, 2022.
The goal of this event is to introduce the youths to our local Police Officers and at the same time create lifelong memories for the youths.
Hopefully, they will see Police in a different light.
Building a lasting positive relation amongst our youths within our communities.
Participants will learn about skills, equipment, techniques, and safety of freshwater fishing in Pennsylvania.
At the same time, participants will be mentored by a local Law Enforcement Officer in hopes to see them in a positive manner.
Children between the ages of 7-17 will be participating in this event.

Registration is limited to the first 75 applicants.

Part of a series of programs, Village Stories: Memories and Lore from Waynesboro’s Surrounding Communities.
Presented in partnership with the Waynesboro Historical Society, the program is an opportunity to learn about village life and times through shared reminiscences.
Current and former residents of the Blue Ridge Summit area are invited to attend and share their memories and stories.
Anyone interested in learning about this fascinating mountaintop village are also invited to attend.
During the 19th and early 20th centuries, Blue Ridge Summit was a thriving summer resort for wealthy visitors from nearby cities like Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
It remains a vital and active mountaintop community. Historical roots are deep and many families living there today had ancestors who were involved in the early life of the village.

Allison-Antrim Annual Ornament Painting – Joyful Arts Studio

Friday, December 4th & 11th * 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM, 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
A portion of the proceeds on December 4 ornament painting will go to the Allison-Antrim Museum.
Join Susan at her warm and nurturing studio for a bit to paint your own Christmas ornament. You will be painting one ornament and can choose your own design or follow one of her examples. This is always a fun time! Bring the family and make lasting holiday memories!
Beginner’s welcome!
This is a class in the studio, a MASK is required. Social distancing will be practiced.
Pre-registration is not required however precedence will be given to those who registered.
Due to COVID seating is now limited to 7 seats and a maximum of 12 people in the studio at one time.
